Bio-inspired computing is a field of study that abstracts computing ideas (data structures, operations with data, ways to control operations, computing models, etc.) from the living phenomena or biological systems such as evolution, cell, tissue, neural network, immune system and ant colony. The areas of bio-inspired computing include Neural Networks, Brain-inspired Computation, Evolutionary Computation, Swarm Intelligence, Fuzzy Logic and Systems, DNA and Molecular Computing, Membrane Computing, etc.
The 11th International Conference on Bio-inspired Computing: Theories and Applications (BIC-TA 2016) will be held on October 28th-30th, 2016, in Xi’an, China. BIC-TA 2016 is the eleventh annual event in the high-reputation BIC-TA series. BIC-TA 2016 aims to provide a high-level international forum for researchers working in the field of bio-inspired computing to present their recent results and to exchange ideas. The conference invites researchers to contribute high-quality original research papers in any aspect of bio-inspired computing.
The host city Xi’an is the capital of Shaanxi Province of China. Because of its rich historical culture treasure, advanced art, geographic priority and science resources, Xi’an seats top of the Six Ancient Capitals in China, as well as one of the four World Ancient Civilization Capitals. Many famous tourist attraction in Shaanxi include Emperor Qin’s Terra-cotta Museum, Hua Shan Mountain, and Huaqing Hot-spring. Xi’an International Airport is easily accessible with direct flights to all major domestic and most international destinations.
All accepted papers will be published in Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) by Springer. In addition, extended versions of selected papers will be invited for special issues in several international journals in the field, including:
